October UFO Sightings in the Workshop

I've been feeling like I'm not writing nearly enough lately, so it's time to for another round-up of UnFinished Objects currently in progress in the hobby department of the workshop.

First off, in preparation for Star Wars Celebration: Anaheim, I've been making some progress on a set of Sith Acolyte armor from Star Wars: the Old Republic.  Here's a snapshot of the chest prototype:
Sith Acolyte Chest Shiny

And I've been helping my friend Matt put together Death Watch armor from the Clone Wars animated series.  Here's the mold for the collar, chest, and abdomen armor:

Then there's yet another helmet mold:
Nite Owl Jacket Mold Thickening

I've finally gotten around to making a new Bolt Pistol for another one of my Space Marine builds:
Bolt Pistol Weathering Progress Right

Speaking of 40K stuff, I've pulled out the old prototype for my Space Marines and started modding it into the beginnings of a suit of Grey Knight armor:
Adding the Collar

Speaking of huge stuff, there's still 2nd ED:
2nd ED Legs Progress

Why?  Because I never make just one of anything.

And since I've already detailed the building of ED-209 (click here to read all of that) I suppose the next thing I'll have to do is write up the building of a much smaller robot:
Funbot Face 2

So there's no shortage of interesting things going on in the shop.  Stay tuned for more details as things get wrapped up.

  1. Finally. I've been waiting for you to build a Grey Knight suit, and I'm not gonna lie and say that I'm not super excited. Also, what of the many, many Iron Man helmets you showed us a glimpse of during your Gemini build? Are you gonna put up the process on getting those things painted?

    1. I'm sure I will sooner or later. There's a lot of painting to be done.

  2. The color of the hand and runes on the bolt pistol remind me of spacewolf. Is that true?

  3. To post another irritating question, are you ever going to get around to finishing that blaster rifle I've seen hanging from your rafters for years?

    1. Are you talking about the DC-15L? I've only had that for a few months. it showed up sometime in the spring.

Or maybe you're talking about my Halo MA5C assault rifle or my M90A shotgun, both of which are hanging in the rafters. Then there's the brute shot.

Not in the rafters I also have one of Volpin's needler kits, a pistol from 5th Element, a pair of pistols from Battlestar Galactica, and a whole stack of boxes with kits I've probably forgotten I own.

Short answer: I'll get to it.
